Occupy Hartford was evicted from its Turning Point Park campsite last December, but it hasn't faded away as some critics might have hoped.
The anti-Wall Street, anti-establishment activists from Hartford are hosting a meeting of Occupy groups from across New England Thursday in the Capitol City's Colt Park.
The event is sort of a staging point for a bigger Occupy National Gathering scheduled to begin Saturday in Philadelphia and carry on through the Fourth of July.
Organizers say they expect Occupiers from Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont and this state to rally at Colt Park beginning Thursday at 1 p.m. in preparation for a caravan to Philadelphia expected to get rolling around two hours later.
The Occupy caravan plans to head to New Haven and then on to Newark and finally to Philadelphia, and organizers are inviting local folks to join the trek.
