Family Ice Fishing Classes: A Fun Winter Activity

Always wanted to learn how to ice fish? Interested in learning about it even though it's hardly been cold enough this season for us to have any longlasting outdoor ice? Grab the kids (ages 8 and over, please) and check out the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) Family Ice Fishing classes taking place over the next couple of weeks. You can learn about the equipment, bait, techniques, terminology, rules and regulations, and ethics and sportsmanship in a classroom enviornment (Yay! No freezing!). They'll also give a rundown of where you can fish and what you're likely to catch.
