Billie Holiday's voice was just... killer. Life wasn't easy for her, and you could hear it, unfiltered, when she sang. She's one of the top jazz vocalists of all time, and the Greenwich Library is paying tribute this weekend. Friday they'll screen a 2001 BBC documentary called Billie Holiday: Sensational Lady, that takes a highly-regarded look at her turbulent life. And then, Saturday, BackCountry Jazz will play an afternoon concert of thesongs Holiday helped make famous.
