Crime & Punishment: 71-Year Old Prostitute Arrested in Glastonbury

A buck slain by David Cari earned him entry into the "Buck of the Month Club" of a national magazine, but the recognition is causing much hardship for him. Cari is one of four former East Haven police officers awaiting trial for an alleged campaign of harassment against Latinos, and upon his arrest, he had to surrender all the weapons he owned. He gave up 15 guns, but failed to mention his bows and arrows, which prosecutors are deeming weapons. Also, Cari applied for disability retirement because of two work-related injuries (not because of his probable firing or anything like that, of course), though he is apparently in good enough shape to hunt. Lastly, Cari was allegedly hunting on property owned by the Regional Water Authority, and once the agency learned of his activities, it charged him with trespassing. Because of all this, a judge has placed Cari under house arrest until his trial, reports the New Haven Register.
