In His Crotch?

West Hartford police officers arrested a 24-year-old Unionville man at 2:30 p.m. on May 11 after allegedly finding heroin and needles concealed in his crotch. The suspect, who was a passenger in a motor vehicle, was arrested in the vicinity of Prospect Avenue and New Park Avenue. Police charged him with illegal possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Demolition Derby

The West Hartford Police arrested a 38-year-old Newington man at 3 p.m. on May 12 after he allegedly crashed into several cars and a garage.

A witness saw the suspect driving erratically and called the police, according to the department. Police charged the suspect with threatening in the second degree, failure to drive right, operation while under the influence and two counts of evading responsibility.

Car Collection

Bristol Police seized not only a variety of drugs when they raided the home of a local dealer but also a 1998 BMW and a 2001 Jaguar, according to a May 13 article in the Bristol Press. Police found drugs that include ecstasy and anti-anxiety pills.

Local police and members of a statewide narcotics task force arrested the 21-year-old suspect, who police state admitted he was selling cocaine and heroin to support himself and his girlfriend. He is being held on $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 7. Charges include possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of ecstasy with intent to sell and intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school.

Jail Pong

The South Windsor Police Department arrested a 45-year-old woman on May 16 after officers allegedly found minors at her home drinking beer during a party. Police arrested her after responding to a noise complaint at 2:30 a.m. and finding between 40 and 50 youths between the ages of 15 and 18 years old carrying beer and liquor.

After the youths fled in different directions, the police contacted the suspect. She told them it was a small party being held after her child's junior prom and that she had been in bed unaware of alcohol being served. Police found several empty bottles and evidence of a beer pong game.

The suspect was charged with risk of injury to a minor and permitting a minor to possess alcohol. She was released on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on May 26.

Moral Unfitness

The Newington Police Department is seeking a woman that allegedly stole credit cards from cars parked at a gym, according to a May 13 article in the Hartford Courant. Witnesses state the suspect was carrying a baby.

The suspect stole the cards from an L.A. Fitness located on the Berlin Turnpike. She used the cards at local businesses that include A&P Liquors, Best Buy, Staples and WalMart.
