East-West Grille combines traditional and "fusion" dishes from Laos, Thailand, China, Japan and Vietnam, and even serves American-style breakfast. "It’s actually Lao-Thai cuisine," says owner Manola Sidara, "and we are pretty proud of that." Sidara’s attentive staff includes supervisor Matthew Phothirat, who’s quick to explain why customers keep returning, even after 11 years: "We try new things."
