Spigot’s clientele, says manager John Roiz, is an eclectic bunch. "We get everything," he explains. "We’re close to University of Hartford. We get the jazz students. We’re close to UConn Law. And we’re a neighborhood bar — it’s been there 50 years. It’s a West End institution." And so the jukebox must be suitably eclectic. It’s an Internet jukebox, so, says Roiz, "if you don’t see a song you like, you can request it and in 24 hours it’ll be there." He says the jukebox covers everything from classic rock to country to cool jazz, and it’s "never too extreme. It’s stuff that appeals to almost everyone."
