How did you start your business?
I started this eight years ago. My background is as a pastry chef. I got tired of long 14-hour days in the kitchen. I figured if I'm going to work like a jackass, I might as well pay myself.
What's most challenging about this job?
Dealing with the weather. I have ulcers looking at the Weather Channel. We're such a weather-driven product.
What's the best thing about your job?
Free food at the farmers' market! I like to barter and trade. Giving back to the community and having something shared locally.
Oddest thing you've seen at a farmers' market?
We saw five tents destroyed in Granby. Microburst. Oh! Scot Haney came to the Wethersfield Farmers' Market with his face painted like a puppy.
Lamborghini. Lime green.
Last meal on Earth?
Baked stuffed lobster with fresh cut lemon and drawn butter.
Best adventure in recent memory?
I hiked the Presidential Range in New Hampshire. Oh, and my trip to San Francisco-- Muir Woods, Golden Gate Bridge, Little Italy and all the food. Pier 29.
What advice would you give to yourself at 24?
Party harder. But seriously, travel more.
