occupation: Organizer for Connecticut Working Families party; jewelery designer at Absynia
found at: Hartford City Hall for the Trashion Fashion Show
What is the newest project you are working on?
I've partnered with the social fitness blog Sexy Shred. I'm the only [jewelery] designer they have. I make bracelets to encourage fitness with sayings like "no more excuses."
What is the craziest thing you've done?
Take time off from work and depend on jewelery for income.
Tell me about a challenge you face daily.
Managing to actually approach Absynia as a business, not just approach it as fun.
With everything that happened at and following the Boston Marathon, how did you get through this week?
Talking to my friends. Being affirming on social media helped. I'm an immigrant myself and was devastated by the anti-immigrant backlash.
Where are you from?
So far, what has been your top adventure?
Going out to Chicago on a hunch.
What advice would you give to yourself 10 years ago?
Do all the things that I want to do and not listen so much to my parents and teachers. I've had to spend a lot of time to unlearn.
