What is your mission?
Honor your path.
Where do you find inspiration?
Ever since I joined the Wethersfield Farmers' Market and watched it grow, I have witnessed such a soulful joy. I am not a creative person, but I do have good networking and organizational skills.
What battle do you fight daily?
Sleeping. Seriously, there is a personal sacrifice of family, friendship, and me time for the greater good.
What project are you working on now?
Re:Create CT. It's a holistic green living expo to introduce the Holistic Chamber of Commerce to the community. This will be taking the idea of green space and making it lively. There are four parts to it: (1) holistic and green living vendors (2) farmers' market so people can learn how rich Connecticut soil is (3) artisan market with upcycled, repurposed, and eco-friendly materials (4) performance, music, and yoga. There will be laughter yoga. There's a guy bringing a tepee! [Those in the suburbs] don't see Hartford in a positive way sometimes. I want to help change that perception.
What advice would you give to yourself ten years ago?
Don't let love affect life decisions. And, if a boy asks you to go into the bathroom with him, say no!
