Taqueria Tavern in West Hartford, swimming in the Farmington [River] and Rock Cat games.
Dinner or lunch spot guaranteed to impress an out-of-town visitor?
Out-of-town visitors should have seafood in New England. Gotta go to Tinkers in West Hartford.
If you’re in the kitchen, what are you cooking?
Macaroni and cheese with peppers, onions, bacon and Taco Bell sauce. Yummy!
What do you absolutely have to have on-hand when having friends over?
[Narragansett] tall boys. My friends are sophisticated.
The character trait you find most attractive in others?
Loyalty. I’m a lucky guy, I have friends I’ve known many years.
Your ultimate vacation spot?
Tariffville Gorge. I don’t like to leave Hartford too much.

Phish, 7-3-11, second set.
What are your most treasured possessions?
My Rickey Henderson rookie card. My brother gave it to me when I was 10 for my birthday.
If you could have any guest at your table, who would you have over for dinner?
Charlie Moore, “The Mad Fisherman.” I met him at the boat show one year. I was truly starstruck.
