Anne Cubberly's Night Fall (CHION WOLF PHOTO / October 8, 2012) |
Most of us New England folk celebrate the coming of fall, and with it the crisper temperatures, the changing colors of the leaves and the welcome life-work balance that accompanies the end of that free-flowing summer business. On Saturday evening, Anne Cubberley's giant puppets romp by the pond at Elizabeth Park during Night Fall, a celebration of the change of seasons through art, music, dance and community. Cubberly's puppets (pictured), if you've never seen them, are 3-D works of art, animated by their masters. This family-friendly event ends with a procession of illuminated lanterns created out of repurposed plastic bottles. Bring chairs and blankets, naturally.
