Surreal Romantique Borodin

The central work on the program of Albano Ballet Summer Dance 2012 is the world premiere of Surreal Romantique Borodin, a four-movement ballet with a backdrop (pictured) designed by Broadway designer Leo Meyer, an homage to the surrealistic work of Salvador Dali, set to Alexander Borodin's lovely second String Quartet. It's a significant new work, a three-year collaboration between Albano and Meyer, but make sure you also stick around for the other two pieces as well.
