Hair, the original tribal love-rock musical heads to the Hardware City for a two-week run. They're all still there: Berger and Sheila (Tony Palmieri and Mary Jane San Nicola, pictured), the cleverly named Claude Hooper Bukowski, and all the assorted hippies. Nudity? Perhaps, but certainly tons of late-'60s rock and soul grooves you've come to know from countless AM radio experiences. All the issues — the Vietnam War, drugs, counter-cultural ideas — seem to oddly resonate with stuff you read in the papers these days (Occupy, anyone?), which makes it fun to check out how they did their thing 40 years ago.
Phoenix Stage Company presents Hair
