HartBeat's first play at its new Farmington Ave. theater, Riding the Turnpike, was inspired by Raymond Bechard's The Berlin Turnpike: A True Story of Human Trafficking in America, a book about the plight of women caught in the local sex trade. The play follows four women as they fall into the spiral of prostitution, money and drugs. Head to the opening night on April 26, where $50 gets you into the show and post-show party.
