It's officially Christmas season, and holiday-themed shows are now in full swing. The Nutcracker, of course, is leading the pack this weekend at the Ridgefield Playhouse (80 East Ridge, Ridgefield), if the traditional ballet and Tchaicovsky is what you're craving. For kids, Rudolph and the Reindeer Games will be presented at the Downtown Cabaret (263 Golden Hill St., Bridgeport) with a new twist on the classic story and characters. Westconn continues its annual tradition of presenting the English language opera Amahl and the Night Visitors, this Friday and Saturday at the Ives Concert Hall (White Hall, 181 White St., Danbury) in the Hat City.
