After 30 years of marriage, many couples continue to stick it out despite the staleness that can often take hold. But in The Retreat From Moscow, a three-decade-old marriage completely falls apart, and the emotional fallout reverberates far and wide. Edward is obsessed with Napoleon's invasion of Moscow and his daily crossword puzzle, but little else. His wife Alice unsuccessfully tries to illicit some kind of emotional response from him. Their son Jamie looks on, observing the situation from both parents' perspectives. See it this weekend at the Town Players of Newtown's Little Theatre to prepare for the coming of colder weather and darker days.
