Tartuffe is almost 350 years old, but the Westport Country Playhouse's production updates the comedy (by Moliere) to the present day. Orgon believes Tartuffe to be a most saintly man, but Orgon's family isn't convinced. Orgon needs to see the truth before he loses everything to a con artist. It's one of those stories that could be just as true today as it was centuries ago, and it should resonate with audiences as such.
