Fairfield County has got a whole bunch of theatrical shows opening this week, all at once (in addition to Opera Comique at the Sherman Playhouse which we wrote about in the stage listings). You should probably go see them all at some point, but maybe this week you just want to pick one. There's Tartuffe at the Westport Country Playhouse, about a saintly dude who may or may not be a fraud. And there's Hair at the Brookfield Playhouse, the go-to hippie protest play if ever there was one. Brigadoon and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat are both musicals that are playing outdoors, at Musicals at Richter and Waveny Park, if you'd rather soak in the starlight and hear some tunes. So many options, so little time...
