A performance of 'The Bread Winner' at Westport Country Playhouse on June 25

Throughout the season, Westport Country Playhouse's Script in Hand series gives us one-performance-only tastes from a varied collection of plays without the theater having to commit to a full production. For Monday night's show The Bread Winner, by W. Somerset Maugham, Tony-nominated actors Gregg Edelman (pictured) and Maria Tucci will read through the script, which tells the story of affluent families in suburban London circa 1930 and their self-absorbed lives. As an audience, this series is exciting because we get to see the actors demonstrate their chops via raw, unpolished performances. (And it's cheaper than a full production too.)
