"The 39 Steps" Playing at Darien Arts Center Stage This Weekend

In Darien Arts Center Stage's adaptation of John Buchan's novel The 39 Steps (which Alfred Hitchcock made into a film in 1935), six actors will play over 100 roles, transforming what was once a serious melodrama into a light hearted and funny farce. If you've seen the film version you'll be rewarded with a handful of references. In the play, a bored bachelor goes out looking for trouble and ends up getting invited back to an exotic woman's home. But it's geared for all ages, so don't worry if you were planning on bringing the kids, it's all good. It closes this weekend, so catch it while you still can.
