Picking a favorite summer beer is easy: You want something light, refreshing and affordable during those sweltering few months. Finding your favorite fall beer can be a little trickier. The harvest season brings along an explosion of flavors to prime us for the cold weather. Anna Liffey's Irish Pub aims to help you choose your new favorite fall beverage at their Fall Beer Festival on Oct. 12. Reps from Samuel Adams, Harpoon, North East Beverage, New England Brewing Co., Star Distributors, Narragansett, Dichello Distributors and Heineken will have samples for all those sporting wristbands ($20, good from 6-9 p.m.). There will also be some live tunes from Brass Tacks and House Money. Check it out.
