Let Mt. Carmel Wine and Spirits of Hamden lead you through a tasting of small bites paired with carefully picked wines, while the Haven String Quartet serenades with the sounds of Britten, Mozart and Mendelssohn. The quartet will perform pieces perfected by the composers during their teenage years, and this years New Haven Free Public Library Poetry Contest winner Tarpley Hitt reads her winning entry Othniel Marsh. Tickets are $50, and proceeds benefit the library.
