A new Molten Java will be opening soon, replacing the old, just down the street at 213 Greenwood Ave. To help assist with the cost of the move, local musicians Dave Bonan and Michel Rae Driscoll have stepped up and organized a benefit to be held at the old location as a “housewarming.” On the bill as part of the all-day event will be Michel Rae Driscoll, Amanda Bloom (pictured), Marc Huberman, J.D. Hill, Mar Walker, Neil Corday, Joey Vee, My Dad's Truck, Seth Lefferts and the Side Effects, Molten Java Jazz Trio, Phoenix Tree, The Happy Cloud, The Replacement Hip and Burnkit 2600, a hearty blend of solo-acoustic, jazz and full electric bands.
Molten Java, 102 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, Sunday 12/18, noon. $5 suggested donation, includes a free drink. (203) 739-0313, moltenjavaevents.com.
