It's still a nostalgia tour even if the crazy, rabid female fanbase is nowhere near qualifying for AARP benefits, right? Regardless, there will be enough redirected adolescent sexual energy at Mohegan Sun Arena between May 28 and May 31 that they probably could run the whole casino if they were able to tap into it. That's what happens when three boybands whose heydays are looooooooong gone decide to tour together. Relive your grade school years with New Kids on the Block, Boyz II Men and 98 Degrees on May 28, 29 and 31, and maybe dig out your old earplugs to protect your aging eardrums while you're at it.

The 2013 Downtown Thursdays Lineup in Bridgeport

Downtown Thursdays are back at McLevy Green in Bridgeport, beginning June 9th, and the lineup has just been announced. This year the shows will begin at 6 p.m. to better tap into that after-work crowd. All shows are free, so bring a blanket or a lawn chair and enjoy.

The Blind Boys of Alabama have been a group since 1939, and three of their seven members are actually blind. They sing spiritually uplifting gospel songs, and after many decades of performing they began winning Grammys — five of 'em — in the 2000s. Paperhaus Plays the People's Arts Collective in New Haven on May 28

D.C.'s Paperhaus have come a long way. While the guitarists hail from the D.C. metro area, bassist John DiLascio joined the band after a three-year stint in Japan. Musically, the band covers vast territory as well, obsessing over pop dregs and avant-whatever urges in equal measure. Paperhaus oversee a renowned DIY D.C. show space and studio of the same name. It's only fitting, then, that the People's Arts Collective will play host to them in the Elm City. The band's U.S. tour supports their forthcoming EP Lo Hi Lo and boasts a seriously impressive collection of dates, many in unconventional spaces. See It Yourself.
