A Glass Harmonica Concert at New Haven Museum
Experience something really unique this weekend at the New Haven Museum. Glass musician Very Meyer gives a glass harmonica concert on Sun., Dec. 9. The glass harmonica, invented by Benjamin Franklin (yes, the guy on your money) in 1761, is a series of bowls, graduated in size, that produce tones when the edges of the bowls come in contact with our human fingers. Meyer founded Glass Music International, hoping to bring the instrument and others like it out of obscurity.
