Cheryl James and Sandra Denton, better known as Salt N Pepa, reunited some years ago after calling it quits in the early '00s. They were one of the first all-female rap groups, and presented strong, female personalities into the sausage fest that was and still is mainstream hip-hop. Their songs are still blasted at sporting events (what else is "Push It" supposed to remind you of, hmm?) and instantly transport us all back to the late '80s and early '90s when their sound was inescapable. You can see them for free this week at the Wolf Den.
