Icelandic musician Valgeir Sigurðsson has quite an impressive resume of production credits for music recording (Feist, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, Kate Nash, et al.). Maybe he's so successful in his recording career because he actually knows how to make music and what it should sound like. Sigurðsson performs at the newly opened Spaceland Ballroom Friday night, where he'll recreate his brand of experimental music. His most recent record Architecture of Loss, released last year, is a collection of sounds that are at times ghostly and haunting, warm and calming, or filled with tension. This is a performance not to miss. Violist Nadia Sirota will join him onstage.
