Sultans of String Perform at Infinity Hall in Norfolk on Dec. 20
Violins aren't for wussies. Head to Norfolk's Infinity Hall for Canadian string-pullers Sultans of String (pictured), who'll be celebrating their latest release, Move, on Dec. 20. Known for dizzying world-music jams, polyrhythms and finger-poppin' bass, they can't be pinned down, geographically speaking — it's Sable Island meets the Silk Road, with detours through the Gypsy-jazz coffeehouses of Eastern Europe. The Sultans will pass through Connecticut again in the spring (opening for the Chieftains), but don't miss this chance to hear their full show.
