We spoke to Donna the Buffalo's multi-instrumentalist Tara Nevins a year ago, she had recently released a solo album, Wood and Stone, recorded under producer Larry Campbell at Levon Helm's Woodstock studio. Much has happened since then: Helm has passed on, Campbell tours with Phil Lesh and Friends, and Mitt Romney's the GOP nominee. DTB carries on, playing a style of American roots music they've perfected and made their own, and the Herd — DTB's enormous legion of fans — keeps on growing.
