Progressive country music — from Boston? Girls, Guns and Glory (pictured), who'll play on Saturday at the Hungry Tiger in Manchester, have won a lot of local music awards in their native Beantown, and they've been coming down to the Hartford area with greater frequency in the last year or so. The four-piece has a slew of good, original songs and interesting covers, and they can also shred a little when the mood hits — perfect for one of the best, low-cost music venues in the area.
