San Diego's Tristan Prettyman (pictured) keeps a part of the city with her, as her surf-inspired acoustic guitar style attests. Prettyman found fame while touring with another San Diegan, Jason Mraz, and has since put out three studio full-lengths. Strikingly, Prettyman's latest album, Cedar and Gold, is a raw exploration of her broken engagement to Mraz. While that creative arc has come full-circle, her career is far from over: Cedar and Gold has won praise from critics and fans alike. Chris Kasper will open.
