Henry Wagons Plays Black-Eyed Sally's in Hartford on March 1

While the name Henry Wagons (pictured) only resonates with a few lucky folks stateside, consider these facts: 1) In his native Melbourne, Australia, the outlaw-country-rock singer-songwriter was named one of the cities' 100 most influential people; 2) he leads a very good band, called the Wagons, and has toured with Lucinda Williams, Bill Callahan, Will Oldham, Okkervil River, John Hiatt and others; 3) he's a much, MUCH better singer-songwriter than Russell Crowe. (Oh, and 4) Wagons will be at Black-Eyed Sally's in Hartford on Friday, touring behind his new album Expecting Company.)
