The Dirty Angels Perform at The Bijou Theatre in Bridgeport on Nov. 9
Charlie Karp and David Hull are names familiar to local musicians, but not everyone knows their history. Over 30 years ago the pair was recruited by Buddy Miles to record in L.A., then went on to tour and record with Arthur Lee and Love. When they returned to Connecticut, they formed White Chocolate with drummer Jimmy Maher, later renamed the Dirty Angels when George Maher joined on guitar. They put out a couple of records, including one on A&M in 1979, and went on tour with Aerosmith during their Double Live Bootleg Tour, before breaking up in 1981. (Hull also filled in for Tom Hamilton when he was sick on Aerosmith tours in 2006 & 2009.) But they're reuniting Friday night for the very first time with a show at the Bijou. The Bijou Theatre, 275 Fairfield Ave., Bridgeport. Fri., Nov. 9, 8 p.m. $35. (203) 332-3228, thebijoutheatre.com.
