Fernando Pinto has a booking history in Connecticut that few others in the business can touch. He booked Nirvana at the Moon in New Haven in 1991. He owned the Tune Inn, hosting bands like the Specials, Rancid, Lifetime, the Dropkick Murphys, and hundreds if not thousands of others. It was the epicenter of both the CT ska scene and the hardcore scene, depending on the night of the week. Fernando books shows under the name Oddball Entertainment now, and he's bringing a Minneapolis garage-punk band called the Blind Shake to Two Boots Friday night. They are spastic, high-energy surf rock heroes, and they're Fernando approved.
