Just because you're in a band doesn't mean you truly know how to play your instrument. In fact, most bands out there have musicians that are proficient at their instrument when it comes to the one style they play but little else. This is not the case with Medeski, Martin & Wood. Their Wednesday night show at the Ridgefield Playhouse, and it's sure to show off their jazzy, funky, danceable chops and their significant, well-rounded musical educations.
