Jimmy Cliff is a living reggae legend. His songs like "You Can Get It If Your Really Want," "The Harder They Come" and "Come Into My Life," not to mention his now-classic cover of "I Can See Clearly Now," evoke the spirit of Jamaica, one love, and all that, as well as from any reggae artist there ever was. Even if "I Can See Clearly Now" was recorded for the Cool Runnings soundtrack. Cliff was also the star of the cult classic 1972 film The Harder They Come, in which he played a young, broke recording artist in Kingston who turns to a life of crime. See him at the Ridgefield Playhouse Tuesday night.
