Jefferson Starship Performs at StageOne in Fairfield on March 24

Guitarist Paul Kantner of Jefferson Starship is the only remnant of the band's original incarnation — '60s psychedelic rock pioneers Jefferson Airplane — who's still with the group. As the decades rolled by the band became more accessible and achieved greater commercial success, shortened their name to just Starship, replaced a bunch of members over a long period of time, and completely transformed into a pop entity. But the current version of the group has revisited its roots, leaning more toward the psychedelic electric folk than the '80s pop hits.
