Since 1992, the Bang on a Can All-Stars have worked with avant-garde musicians like Steve Reich, Ornette Coleman, Burmese circle drum master Kyaw Kyaw Naing and DJ Spooky. They recorded Brian Eno's ambient Music for Airports, and they've performed with everyone from Philip Glass to Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth. Saturday night they play the Quick Center, and while we don't know that the program/setlist/whatever-you-want-to-call-it will include, but its guaranteed to push the boundaries of experimentation.
