Happy 5th birthday, Record Store Day! In celebration of all things vinyl, compact disc, and actual record store, a handful of Connecticut's local record shops are hosting their own festivities on Sat., April 21. Gerosa Records (246 Federal Road, Brookfield, 203-775-7074, gerosarecords.com) will be having live music from 3-6, with sets by Al Pist, Elisa Flynn, Lys Guillorn, Malcom Tent and the Sawtelles. Redscroll Records (24 N. Colony St., Wallingford, 203-265-7013, redscrollrecords.com) is celebrating its 5th birthday as well, with goodie bags, sales and 15 percent off everything in the store. Yes, that includes turntables. Open 9 a.m.-10 p.m. Replay Records (2586 Whitney Ave., Hamden, 203-934-9999, replayrecordsct.com) opens from midnight to 1 a.m. on April 21, and then opens again for their regular hours 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The first 50 customers to make a purchase will walk away with a Replay Records totebag.
