Revel in the wonders of local cinema this Friday and Saturday at the Brass City Film & Music Festival at Waterbury's Creative Cinemas 10. The two-day festival focuses on films made right here in Connecticut, including Love Unconditional directed by Willie Mobley on Oct 5 at 8:30 p.m., and Rising Star directed by Marty Lang on Oct. 6 at 8:30 p.m. Included in the mix are shorts and student films, and live music in the Creative Cinemas 10 parking lot on Saturday from 1-4:30 p.m. Bring a lawn chair for the music portion, which features Tony Purrone, Not Here and Pollen. The festival is free, and part of the proceeds from concessions will benefit Safe Haven of Greater Waterbury.
