Anyone who's struggled with the healthcare situation in this country — to obtain it when you're unemployed or have a pre-existing condition, for example, or to get needed medical attention without it — will appreciate The Waiting Room, a documentary showing at Hartford's Real Art Ways this week. The film follows several patients and hospital staff dealing with seemingly insurmountable healthcare hurdles in the midst of the crippling Great Recession. Not necessarily a feel-good film, but an important one. Hang around for the post-film discussion.
