The Rocky Horror Show is back. The cult classic will be celebrating its 37th anniversary at New Britain's Trinity-on-Main in a production by the Phoenix Theatre Company. Rocky was released back in 1976 and is the longest running theatrical release in film history. This film gained notoriety and a hardcore fanbase for its bizarre nature, campy humor and audience participation. The Phoenix Theater has performed and produced The Rocky Horror Show well over 20 times over the years. It is well known by audiences from all over the place, and it is not odd to see the same people attending every show during a two- to four-week run. "For those that may not know Rocky Horror, it is a true audience participation show," said director Jason Ferrandino. "The audience knows all of the callbacks from the movie and has a great time yelling them at the actors. We have a wonderful cast made up of some returning members from last years cast as well as some new voices, both to Rocky Horror and to Phoenix Theater. It has been a pleasure working with them and it will be a phenomenal show." So, get your prop bags, learn your call-backs and do the Time Warp again.
