'The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad' playing at Norwalk Community College on March 22
Special effects came a long way in the 1950s and '60s. Before there was 2001: A Space Odyssey there was The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad, which was quite revolutionary for its time. Special effects master Ray Harryhausen made unforgetable stop-motion monsters like Cyclops, a fire-breathing dragon and a reanimated sword-fighting skeleton that wowed '50s audiences like nothing had before. See it for free on Thursday as park of Norwalk Community College's free Movies-of-the-Month series.
