So, besides a fantastic pun, what exactly is the Sea Tea Improv? It's a talented collective of local Hartford actors who teach and play in various venues throughout Hartford: The Mark Twain House, ESPN, the Wadsworth Atheneum, Hartford stage, and the CT Science Center's Liquid Lounge to name a few.
After performing at so many notable local institutions, as well as being nationally recognized at the prestigious Providence Improv Festival for the past three years in a row, this troupe finally has a home of its very own at 75 Pratt St (Suite 500) in Hartford.
Greg Ludovici, one of the founding members (pictured above), was quoted as saying that they “hope to drive theater and comedy enthusiasts to park, dine, and wander around downtown,” through interaction at their new location. In the spirit of such camaraderie, you are cordially invited to join the Improv on Friday, November 9, from 7 – 11 pm, for a grand opening of their new location. To RSVP, send an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Other cool happenings for the Sea Tea Improv in the months ahead include classes for both new and seasoned members, focusing on the topics of: “The Character” and “Second Beat.” More information on the ongoing courses can be found at: www.seateaimprov.com/education
