Harry's Bishop's Corner slung some pies for good cause on Tuesday, July 10th, when they welcomed The Real Ambassadors jazz choir group for a fundraiser towards their upcoming Olympic performance in London. As the only high school choir group in the country that was selected, these kids from the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts have reason to feel proud, especially as this prestigious engagement follows closely on the heels of their win at the Berklee School of Music High School Jazz Competition.
Harry's Bishop's Corner was happy to host the choir on Tuesday evening for an impromptu, al fresco performance for lucky passers-by from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. In addition to the $984.00 donated by kind onlookers, families, and restaurant patrons, a portion of the sales from the evening have been pledged to get the choir the funding they need to travel to London. Restaurant goers commented that the choir was "a joy to watch" and showed real passion for the music.
