Learn about one of the Connecticut shoreline's lighthouses at the Henry Whitfield State Museum this month. The exhibit Bicentennial Beacon: Faulkner's Island Lighthouse, 1802-2002, traces the lighthouse's history through the lives of its keepers, right up to present day preservation efforts. You can see this exhibit, originally created by the Faulkner's Light Brigade, from Sept. 1 to Sept. 30, from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. It's included with regular museum admission: $8 adults, $6 seniors and college students, $5 kids ages 6-17, and free for those 5 and under.
