Courtney Love is better known as a rock musician, the late Kurt Cobain's wife, and occasional Twitter spectacle. She's recently added visual artist to her vast resume, and her latest show Mentoring Courtney Love: David LaChapelle and Courtney Love opens Saturday at New London's Lyman Allyn Art Museum. Love credits LaChapelle, a photographer who got his first job from Andy Warhol, with guiding her on her visual art journey. Mentoring Courtney Love will display Love's portraits, inspired by LaChapelle's work and style. The exhibit's opening reception is Fri., April 12, from 6-8 p.m., and Love herself will be in attendance.
