Music Director Carolyn Kuan leads the Hartford Symphony Orchestra in Holiday Cirque Spectacular, a detour away from your traditional holiday Pops schtick. Yes, Tchaikovsky's Nutcraker is in the hiz-ouse. But who are those folks in tights, flying around the stage, juggling rings, dancing with ribbons and rolling their bodies into human tree ornaments? Why, it's the performers of Cirque de la Symphonie. The show opens with choirs from Simsbury High School and Asylum Hill Congregational Church, roasting some holiday chestnuts.
