Bread and Puppet Theater of Vermont (pictured) combines performance with audience expression and social justice. The troupe will team up with Middletown's ARTFARM theater company to present Arse Kicking Puppetry, Ding Dongs, and the Radical Farming of Art, a workshop aimed at building creativity and community. The workshop is an open call to artists of all media, activists, and enthusiastic people off all stripes. After working together to use music, dance, poetry, puppetry, theater, and more to bridge gaps and tell stories, the participants will close the workshop with a performance on Main Street. Each performance depends on the talents and interests of participants, so each is unique. The workshop is the result of two months of collaboration between the two companies, and 2013 marks the 50th anniversary of Bread and Puppet Theater.
